About the Dance Series

The groundbreaking new series entitled Dance is about innovation.  It embraces and utilizes the amicability of glass, clay, and steel in untraditional and seemingly impossible ways to create a series of glass sculptures that emanate a harmony – an attunement – a melodic juxtaposition of the elements.

The concept of Dance is rooted in John’s dream to overcome the chemical implausibility of fusing glass directly with clay; a feat that has never been achieved.  After 13 years of testing, John recently invented the world’s first glass compatible clay body.

This invention of a glass compatible clay body translates into a series of sculptures that cannot be replicated, mimicked, or copied by any other artist in the world.  They are unique to John and his imagination.

The incorporation of clay directly into the glass allows the light to refract differently through different areas of the sculpture and gives the sculpture a wide variance in textures across its surface.  However, not to be overlooked are the sculptures’ graceful steel stands.  Each stand is designed to perfectly accent and highlight each piece.

Dance is truly about innovation, harmony, and grace.  It is the product of 13 years of passion and determination by the artist.  It is a concept that has yet to be explored or seen in the art world.  It is a truly original and inspirational series.
